Krysta Brown is an East Tennessee native, graduating from Oak Ridge High School. Krysta attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While studying at UT, Krysta served in leadership roles in several organizations where she advocated for others, like the Executive Committee of the Student Government Association (SGA). She also studied abroad in England.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Krysta received her law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. While in law school, Krysta was able to spend time in East Tennessee completing two externships while gaining valuable courtroom experience - a judicial externship for the Circuit and Criminal Court of the 7th Judicial District, and a legal externship for the Office of the Public Defender of the 7th Judicial District, both in Clinton, Tennessee. Being experienced with the Spanish language, Krysta also served as a legal volunteer and translator for Catholic Charities Immigration Services in Jackson, Mississippi, and Canton, Mississippi while in law school.
Krysta's main practice is in the area of family law and domestic relations, specifically handling matters like child custody, contested divorces, agreed divorces, child support matters, child support modifications, parenting plans, parenting plan modifications, adoptions, termination of parental rights actions, parental relocation cases, and other juvenile and chancery court matters. Krysta also works with clients in some probate and estate planning matters. Krysta is an active member of Beech Park Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, Tennessee.
